Hi Donna: There is a real problem with the Sgt. Cornelius Vandusen memorial. The picture actually states "C. Van Belsen" and I checked the book. The Cornelius Vandusen plot should be 6656 not 6655. Plot 6655 is Lt. Col. Thomas Morris. There is a Cornelius Vandusen tombstone that I just posted. Don't know if it is the Sgt or not. But the pic I just did was for a Cornelius Vandusen from Ind. This one is supposed to be from NY. I don't know what to do. Leslyn

MR. C. VAN DEUSEN DEAD

Mr. Cornelius Van Deusen, a well known citizen, died early Monday morning at his home, after an illness of a month with heart trouble.He was 64 years old, a native of New York and a Union soldier, having been sergeant in the N.Y. Minute Rifles. He has been a resident of this city for many years.

Mr. Van Deusen was twice married and is survived by his second wife and four children by his first wife. They are Mrs. John B. Cox , Misses Nannie and Gay Van Deusen and Mrs. Wm. Smith of Baltimore; two brothers,John and Jacob Van Deusen of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Harriet Wilson of Albany, N.Y.

The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon from Methodist church, services conducted by Rev. W.L. Dolly. Interment will be made at National Cemetery.^[9]
